2016 made us Who We Are

The airline industry saw in 2016, fundamental changes in the way that it operates and the way that customers engage with airlines. There are greater expectations on the industry than ever before: borne out of advances elsewhere. In 2016 we too recognised this.  The ability for airlines to truly retail to their customers, to engage with them through modern mediums and offer greater opportunities for purchasing travel are the challenges for the industry: they've become our challenges too.

Our undertaking remains: to deliver greater incremental revenue and process enhancements to the airline industry.

The industry recognised Caravelo

Understanding the challenge to retail and engage saw us win the IATA NDC Hackathon.

In 48 hours the Caravelo development team, across a field of 22 projects and over 120 developers, created Nina: a white label chatbot solution utilizing NDC to provide content across standard messenger platforms.

"The most commercially viable and  best executed technology on show" - IATA

We then demonstrated the power of the Caravelo solution at the IATA World Passenger Symposium to over 500 industry leaders.

As importantly, Caravelo also become one of only 24 technology providers to gain the IATA NDC standard level 3 certification.

More airlines chose Caravelo as a provider

Our partnerships have developed in 2016 with 6 more airlines choosing Caravelo as a preferred supplier and we now proudly serve 11 airlines globally.

We reinforced our commitment to innovation

In partnership with Volaris, we developed a new service that allows airlines to monetize more of its unsold inventory through opening a new channel to reach latent low-fare demand.  The Standby Ticket service launched in October and quickly and effectively delivered improved revenue and customer satisfaction.

The spirit of innovation, of doing things that are thought impossible, is the cornerstone of our DNA.  We listen to your requirements and forge solutions for you to enable greater results.

2017 will see Caravelo Change The Game

From understanding the challenges of the industry comes Action. In Q1, Caravelo will launch multiple bespoke chatbot solutions that enable airlines to retail and engage across messenger platforms.

2017 will also see Caravelo launch further enhancements to its suite of ancillary services, enabling greater reach and profitability for airlines from their distressed inventory.

Wishing you a successful 2017
